Itinerary
Day 1- Depart USA Overnight flight to Berlin.
Day 2 - Arrive berlin (2 nights) Welcome to Berlin, capital of Germany. After check-in, time to relax or start to explore this lively capital city. Later we join our Tour Director and travelling companions for a Welcome Drink.
Hotel: NH Berlin Friedrichstrasse (2 nights)
Day 3 - Berlin sightseeing and at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour will feature a visit to the Checkpoint Charlie Museum and include views of the Reichstag Building, Tiergarten, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard and the German State Opera House. The remainder of the day will be at leisure to do as you please. Tonight we enjoy a Highlight Dinner of local specialities in a local restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 4 - Berlin – Dresden – Prague (2 nights) This morning we head south to the city which is known as Florence on the Elbe, the Renaissance city of Dresden. Here orientation includes the Saxon Wall, Semper Opera and 18th century cathedral. Finally we cross into the Czech Republic where we stop at Teresienstadt, site of a large Jewish Ghetto during World War II, to visit the National Cemetery. We make our way to Prague, one of Europe’s most exciting cities since the coming of the Velvet Revolution. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 5 - Prague sightseeing and at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour reveals one of the most beautifully preserved cities in Europe. Our walking tour includes Prague Castle, a visit to the Cathedral of St. Vitus and the old town square. Later, time to visit one of the royal castles or enjoy a lunch cruise. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6 - Prague – Krakow (2 nights) This morning we travel south through the Czech Republic to Brno which is the capital of the province of Moravia. We see the unusual baroque Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul , as well as the grim Spilberk Fortress , used as a jail during the Second World War. Then we drive on to the Polish border and continue to historic Krakow. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7 - Krakow sightseeing and at leisure Today our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure of the city. But first our morning sightseeing reveals the castle and the cathedral on the Wawel Hill. We also delight in a walking tour through the medieval old town to visit the Cloth Hall and the 14th century Mariacki Church. Later, maybe take the opportunity to visit the astonishing Wieliczka Salt Mine? (Buffet breakfast)
Day 8 - Krakow – Bratislava – Vienna (2 nights) Today we head south and cross the border with Slovakia. We enjoy a scenic drive through the Mala Fatra mountains and continue via Zilina to the capital city of Bratislava. Here we see the presidential palace and have time to walk through the quaint old town and see the medieval town hall. Then it is just a short journey to the Imperial city of Vienna, the final destination of our tour. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 9 - Vienna sightseeing and at leisure From the Opera to the Hofburg, the State Opera House to St. Stephen's Cathedral, our guided sightseeing tour reveals this city's elegance. Our included walking tour highlights ‘Am Hof’, the oldest and most secret quarter of Vienna. Later, enjoy time at leisure to sightsee further and shop along the fashionable Kärntnerstrasse. This evening, we enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell Dinner)
Day 10 - Depart Vienna We bid farewell to our new-found friends and Tour Director as our memorable tour comes to an end as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight to America. (Buffet breakfast)

Free airport transfers: Transfers on Day 1 at Berlin Tegel Airport will operate at 09.00 and 13.00. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last touring day will arrive at Vienna Airport at 06.30 and 09.00.

Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
For included transfers: Your flights must be booked directly by Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. For chargeable transfers: Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information to Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed.
For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked by Trafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to your departure date.
Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar’s control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled.
All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is therefore available for missed transfers, or passengers not using this service.
In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works, strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
Heathrow Airport: National Express Dot2Dot will pick up and drop off in time to meet all flights to/from London’s Heathrow Airport. For guests arriving at the Dot2Dot desk after 22.00 hrs please make use of the courtesy phone to arrange your transfer to your Trafalgar hotel.
Gatwick Airport: Passengers who have booked Trafalgar’s Land and Air packages arriving at London’s Gatwick Airport are provided with a Gatwick Express train voucher. The Gatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London’s Victoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make their way from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel.
European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar.
