Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Frankfurt.
Day 2 - Arrive Frankfurt (Offenbach) Welcome to Germany! This afternoon we enjoy a Frankfurt orientation tour and later we enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director.
Hotel: Sheraton Offenbach
Day 3 - Frankfurt – Rothenburg – Munich – Oberammergau After our orientation of Munich we continue to the beautiful region of Oberammergau where we enjoy dinner in our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 4 - Passion Play performance After breakfast there is time at leisure followed by lunch at a local restaurant. The Passion Play begins at 2.30pm and runs until 5pm where there is a break for dinner. The play resumes at 8pm and finishes at 10.30pm when you are transferred back to your hotel accommodation. (Buffet breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 5 - Oberammergau – Salzburg – Vienna (2 nights) We drive to the charming city of Salzburg where our guided walking tour highlights Mozart’s birthplace and the cathedral square. Then we drive on to Vienna. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 6 - Vienna sightseeing and at leisure Our guided tour features the Opera House and the Parliament and also includes a walking tour of the oldest part of the city and another Hidden Treasure is revealed. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 7 - Vienna – Berchtesgaden – Innsbruck We drive westwards across Austria to Bavaria and Alpine Berchtesgaden. Then we continue to Innsbruck where we enjoy a Highlight Dinner tonight. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight dinner)

Day 8 - Innsbruck – St. Moritz This morning we enjoy magnificent scenery all the way as we drive to Switzerland and follow the scenic Engadine valley to the elegant winter and summer resort of St. Moritz. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 - St. Moritz – Zermatt (2 nights) Today we cross into Italy and stop in the pretty resort of Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Then over the Simplon Pass back to Switzerland where at Tasch we take electric minibuses up to our hotel in the charming mountain resort of Zermatt where we stay for the next two nights. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 10 - Zermatt at leisure A full day to enjoy this traffic free resort overlooked by the iconic Matterhorn. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 11 - Zermatt – Geneva This morning we drive along the broad Rhone Valley to France to view spectacular Mont Blanc, before continuing to the international city of Geneva situated on the largest of the Swiss lakes. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 12 - Geneva – Interlaken – Engelberg (2 nights) We drive via Berne to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland with the chance of views of the mighty Jungfrau. Then we drive over the Brunig Pass to central Switzerland and the winter and summer resort town of Engelberg. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 13 - Lucerne excursion We see the poignant Lion Monument and the wooden covered Chapel Bridge, then maybe take a thrilling mountain excursion for stunning alpine views or shop for Swiss watches and mouth-watering chocolate. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Day 14 - Engleberg – Rhine Falls – Black Forest (Breitnau) First we see the mighty Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen before we cross the border into Germany where we drive by the forested hills of the Black Forest and Lake Titisee to our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 15 - Black Forest – Heidelberg – Frankfurt First to Heidelberg where we walk through the castle courtyards. Later we take a scenic Rhine cruise passing the Lorelei rock, before returning to Frankfurt where we enjoy a Farewell Dinner tonight. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell dinner)

Day 16 - Frankfurt – USA This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell as our memorable Alpine tour comes to an end. (Buffet breakfast)
Free airport transfers: Transfers on Day 2 at Frankfurt Airport will operate at 09.30 and 12.00. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last touring day will arrive at Frankfurt Airport at 08.00 and 10.00.

Airport Transfers
London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the airport and your London hotel. But when you book your Trafalgar tour and take advantage of our land and air packages, we have included a FREE transfer to and from London’s airports and your Trafalgar London hotel. For passengers who have their own flight arrangements we offer you the opportunity to purchase inexpensive transfers to and from London’s Heathrow – Trafalgar has negotiated special rates for the Dot2Dot transfer from London’s Heathr
Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
For included transfers: Your flights must be booked directly by Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. For chargeable transfers: Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information to Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed.
For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked by Trafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to your departure date.
Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar’s control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled.
All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is therefore available for missed transfers, or passengers not using this service.
In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works, strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
Heathrow Airport: National Express Dot2Dot will pick up and drop off in time to meet all flights to/from London’s Heathrow Airport. For guests arriving at the Dot2Dot desk after 22.00 hrs please make use of the courtesy phone to arrange your transfer to your Trafalgar hotel.
Gatwick Airport: Passengers who have booked Trafalgar’s Land and Air packages arriving at London’s Gatwick Airport are provided with a Gatwick Express train voucher. The Gatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London’s Victoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make their way from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel.
European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar. Please ask for prices of transfers at the time of booking your extra night accommodation.
Land only passengers arriving or departing on the scheduled tour arrival or departure days but whose flights don't coincide with the listed transfer times below may also book and purchase these transfers.
